Today a coworker asked me if I wanted to go to a screening of the movie 'One for the Money' that she'd signed up for but couldn't go. I don't often make a practice of turning down free movies (or really free anything) so, I said yes and recruited Kristin to join me. After some finagling and trying to remember how to spell my coworker's last name in case they asked, we were off. My boss stayed uncharacteristically late and I thought we were going to miss the movie. Little did we know, it was actually the NY premiere and the actual movie didn't start until an hour later. So we (and a few hundred other people) spent time gawking at the Real Housewives of New Jersey on the red carpet, unsuccessfully trying to spot Katherine Heigl (she was in the balcony) and feasting on free popcorns and soda. Eventually the movie started. It was exactly what you'd expect out of a movie starring Katherine Heigl playing a bounty hunter from Jersey. But hey, any night with free movie theater popcorn is a good night in my book.
